# Start an Action

Any Group member can start a LORROS Action. When you start an Action, it’s assigned to you *(by default)*.

To start an Action from the Group home page:

1. Click start an Action.
2. Type in an Action.
3. Choose a target date.
4. Add the background *(to add a file, see* [*Attach Files*](https://lorros.gitbook.io/lorros-guide/activities/attach-files)*)*.
5. Assign the Action *(Admin Access needed)*.
6. Click submit

Members with Admin Access can:

* Assign a new Action to any member. 
* Re-assign any Action previously assigned to another member.
