Moving & Seconding a Motion

Motions must be moved and seconded before any Group member can vote. Any voting member of the Group (other than the member who moved the motion) can second a motion.

When a motion is seconded, an email is sent to all Group members to inform them that the motion has been seconded and they can now vote.

Comments and replies to the associated Agenda Topic can be added at any time. It is not necessary to wait until an attached motion is seconded.

The member who moves the motion can vote before it is seconded. If the motion fails to get a seconder, the movers vote is cancelled.
